Our client is opening a new luxury five star hotel on the Eastern Coast of China and we are presently assisting to locate an exceptional GM with an extensive F&B background and all round management style with Rooms & Sales skills a distinct advantage.

The operation will be one of the most impressive 5* deluxe properties, offering over 8 F&B outlets & exciting concepts with additional state of the art large volume of conference and banqueting facilities, luxury Butler service on its executive floor, as well as innovative refreshing service in the centre of this modern City, which is facing the East China Sea.

We are looking for someone who has experience in doing new openings, who is additionally strong in operations and very focused. As a GM, we are seeking a leader who is naturally HANDS ON, detail-oriented, with an on-site management style.

Someone aged between 40–50 and willing to commit to daily operations and offer a leadership role.

The right candidate will ideally be someone who has experience with a large quantity of F&B quality outlets, someone who is service lead, high on standards but also high on BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, training, standards, and profit orientated. Successful candidates will have the following profile:

* Pre-opening experience in China ;

• Exceptional Leadership and communications skills, able to converse effectively with owners and management team;
• Sound understanding of local culture and people;
• Completed a minimum of one contract with an international hotel chain in China ;
• 20 year career focussed in 5* properties with a minimum of 5 years in South East Asia ;
• Very strong F&B background with Rooms and Sales experience a distinct advantage?
• Fluent English (both written and spoken);
• Spoken/written Mandarin would be an advantage.

Ideally we are searching for one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial GMs around today who invigorate and motivate this operation and the managers. Potential GM candidates will be handsomely rewarded, however they will be expected to work very hard, to tight deadlines and deliver first class results.
