EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF

Salary Competitive $25-32 depending upon experience

Our client is looking to recruit an Executive Sous Chef for a new boutique brand, ( Quality British Background).

The successful applicant will have experience within a variety of operations, with extensive Food and Beverage departments (multiple outlets & room service) as well as substantial conference and banqueting facilities.

They will be able to train, develop and manage local team as well as develop a number of kitchen operations from 50 – 150 covers a day.

We seek a chef with a can do attitude: What ever is asked, you're able to say yes, but also someone who is hard working and able to tackle daily problems and difficult situations in a calm professional way.

With a large degree of patience required, you will have great culinary skills and be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skill to an owner who has enormous expectations and therefore, you must be able to take a lot of suggestions and requests.

You will have extensive previous experience working & training a team & be able to demonstrate a wide understanding of food from the British Isles , and an outstanding in-depth knowledge of classical European cuisines and cooking styles.

As well as the above, the criteria for the successful candidates include, but are not limited to the following:

- Firm grasp of fiscal and budgetary controls;
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role with a minimum 10 years in luxury 4* (or similar) operations;
- Extensive experience with European cuisine ;
- Strong training and development skills;
- Exceptional knowledge of Hygiene standards, Health and Safety issues and responsibility;
