EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF, ASIA

TAIWAN - $48,000 NEGOTIABLE

Our client is looking to recruit an Executive Sous Chef for a large luxury 5* property in Taiwan .

The successful applicant will have experienced within large 500 plus room properties with extensive Food and Beverage departments (multiple outlets & room service) as well as substantial conference and banqueting facilities. They will be able to train, develop and manage a large local team as well as manage a very large kitchen operation capable of dealing with over 3000 guests daily.

We see a chef who is capable of saying yes, with a can do attitude: What ever is asked, you're able to say yes, but also someone who is hard working and able to tackle daily problems and difficult situations in a calm professional way. With a large degree of patience required, you will have great culinary skills and be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skill set to a board of Directors who have enormous expectations and therefore, you must be able to take a lot of suggestions and requests.

You will have extensive previous experience working with a predominantly local team that you would have trained and developed within each of your previous properties. Demonstrate a wide range of cooking styles with a broad knowledge of all types of cuisine and an outstanding in-depth knowledge of classical European cuisines and cooking styles. Ideally you would have been extensive experience throughout South East Asian and would be able to produce food at the highest standards for large numbers of guests on a daily basis.

As well as the above, the criteria for the successful candidates include, but are not limited to the following:

• - Extensive experience in South East Asia , Europe and overseas
• - Firm grasp of fiscal and budgetary controls;
• - Minimum 3 years in a similar role with a minimum 5 years in luxury 5* operations;
• - Extensive experience with European cuisine ;
• - Large C&B experience expertise
• - Strong training and development skills;
• - Exceptional knowledge of Hygiene standards, Health and Safety
• issues and responsibility;
• - Single candidates or candidates that are able to travel as single.
