Our client has an exciting FIVE STAR resort property of just over 100 rooms, suites and residences, with four food & beverage outlets, one of which is a stand alone eatery, with an enviable reputation as being the best in the islands.

This impressive resort offers extensive exciting fine dining F&B concepts as well as additional state of the art facilities, luxury Butler service in its premier suites and residences as well as exceptional service with the highest standards.

We have been asked to seek someone very special, a world class General Manager who will lead the team from the front, someone hands on, not based in the office, who probably has a proven track record managing similar world class resorts such as the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Aman resorts, Six Senses, GHM, or Como resorts and the candidate may, or may not have worked in other Caribbean operations.

The owners would like the General Manager to be highly visible especially since the high profile guests require a constant management presence who can deliver top service, ensuring attention to detail, translating these to the local staff with training and regular mentoring on all the smaller details.

Most of all, we seek a manager who can keep pace with the ever changing customer needs and who can adapt the service and facilities accordingly.

Successful candidates will have the following profile:

• Recognised and proven GM experience in luxury boutique resorts
• Exceptional communications skills, able to converse effectively with clients, owners & management team;
• Sound understanding of local cultures and wide ranging people;
• A career focussed in 5* properties with a minimum of 5 years in boutique operations
• Fluent English (both written and spoken);
• Proven leadership & management skills; Individual proven track record in creating commercial successes;
• Devise business analysis tools for onsite marketing teams to analyzing business practices & generate maximum returns & controlled costs;
• Relevant qualifications & memberships of recognized professional accounting bodies
• Ability to think outside the box & develop innovative solutions;
• Highly committed and results oriented;
• Highly effective skills in communication, presentation and relationship building on many levels;
