Position
Reporting into the Managing Director Resort Collection and play an integral part in coordinating and providing technical assistance and recommendations for all resorts & projects from the conceptual development stages through final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time and within budget. Your role will also include liaising with key stakeholders on all technical issues, implementing best practice policies and driving the efficiency of all technical service aspects within the Resort Collection.
To be successful for this position you will require a background in Construction science, construction management, or civil engineering, ability to build rapport with all partners and communicate with them effectively.

Your mandate as a Group Technical Services Director:
You will participate in the creation and execution of project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet
changing needs and requirements. You will effectively apply Group Resort standards in quality and design
to all projects, by the use of safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. You will ensure
project documents relating to technical support are complete, current and stored appropriately.
You will support all project consultants in all aspects of the day-to-day technical management of projects;
you will monitor and coordinate work performed by architectural, engineering, and construction firms.
You will review and interpret proposed designs, architectural drawings, and building specifications for
appropriateness to required function and/or company standard, and initiate revisions where appropriate
and advise consultants and Group Resort as to how best to achieve required results.
You will also oversee
the fit out and finishing of the projects for which you will require a comprehensive understanding of
interior design.
From a technical support perspective you will be involved in site preparation, including land clearing and
earth moving; sewage systems; landscaping and road and building construction, including excavation
and laying of foundations and erection of the structural framework, floors, walls, and roofs; and building
systems, including fire-protection, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and heating.
You will oversee the
selection of general contractors and trade contractors to complete specific jobs within the project — which
could include everything from structural metalworking and plumbing to painting and carpet installation.
3 You will support the Project Manager in making sure that the delivery, use of materials, tools, and
equipment are carried out efficiently. Together you will oversee the quality of construction and ensure
worker productivity and safety are not compromised. You will assist in obtaining all necessary permits and
licenses and, depending upon the contractual arrangements, direct or monitor compliance with building
and safety codes and other regulations.
You will work closely with the Group Resort team and the project manager on site. You will be required to
attend all project meetings and update the Managing Director Resort Collection on all key areas. During
these meetings you will facilitate discussions between all key stakeholders to come to unanimous
decisions.
The Managing Director Resort Collection seeks to work with a Group Technical Services Director who

achieve set objectives and assist in the developing projects that transforms to some of the world’s most
unique resorts.

• Knowledge of contract documents and specifications and ability to negotiate and manage them.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and/or supervision to architects, structural engineers, and
• independent building contractors.

• Ability to make complex operating, administrative, and procedural decisions.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Working Conditions:
This position requires extensive travel.
Group Technical Services Director will be at times on call to deal with delays, the effects of bad
weather, or emergencies at the site. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous,
you must be careful while performing onsite services.
What is the Offer:
Based in either Singapore or Dubai, Salary USD Tax Free, Performance Bonus, Medical Insurance, Flight Ticket to Passport Country once a year,
Flight Ticket to value of US $400 every 3 months (R&R), Accommodation and Living Allowance,
US $300 a month Phone Call allowance, 4 weeks holiday p.a., Minimum 2 year contract.
