Our client, a leading luxury hotel group based through out the Middle East, is looking to recruit a “hands on” Executive Sous Chef to lead and deputise in the absence of the Executive Chef in one of their leading operations in the Middle East. The candidate must have European experienced, experience in running large kitchens (150+ chefs) and have experience in the Middle East running teams with multi national backgrounds. The successful candidate will be an excellent leader able to carry out hands on training with exceptional leadership and development abilities as well as possessing computer skills and is HACCP trained .
The successful applicant will actively assists the Executive Chef in the day to day operation, taking over all responsibilities (if the situation requires) during their absence, striving for the highest possible guest satisfaction.
The role will include the following criteria and duties:
• To support and directly assist the Executive Chef in the daily operation and work.
• To take full responsibilities of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• To work with the Executive Chef on food production, promotion and quality improvement.
• To ensure high standards of hygiene in all kitchens.
• To keep all working areas in the highest hygienic conditions at all times, according to the rules set by the hotel.
• To create high quality and creative food products to satisfy the customer.
• To provide hands on training to the frontline teams whenever necessary.
• To control the food stock and cost.
• To promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills.
• To generally promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations.
• To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
• To demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the hotel thus identifying a high level of commitment.
