Our client is presently seeking a young professional who might have been in the business for a short time, but who has already worked in one of two impressive quality driven hotel operations
Our client’s hotel has a first class butler service where butlers pamper guests from the moment of their arrival to the moment of their departure. This role might be suited to those professionals who want to cross over from professional room service & hospitality, to the world of the professional butlers, some of the tasks expected would be;-
Some of the duties and Responsibilities are as follows
• Preparing guest suites for arrival including personal likes and dislikes e.g. favourite music, DVD’s, drinks, duvet/blankets, types of pillows, favourite flowers etc are present
• Arranging special requests that arriving guests have requested during their stay
• To welcome all arriving guests
• To escort all arriving guests to their suites
• To assist with unpacking, placing clothes in to chest of drawers and hanging up clothes in the wardrobe as directed by the guests
• To provide any ironing and valet services as required
• To assist in arranging guests itinerary during their stay
• To make recommendations of places to visit, showing good local knowledge
• To book any transport that may be required
• To book any theatre, sporting events etc as required
• The butler will make the necessary arrangements with the guests whilst liasing with the Chef and the Room Service Manager to ensure menus, wines and service of the highest quality.
• To act as host for any private dining in guest suites
• To collect luggage from departing guest suites and place in guests car
• To bring departing guests car to the front of the hotel valet cleaning as required and leaving a goodbye gift on the guest seats for the journey such as still mineral water, an apple and a fruit bar
• To provide onward directions and booking onward accommodation as required
• To be on call to provide any help that stay over guests may require
• To provide any other services as directed by the Hotel Management.
• 40 hours per week - over mixed shifts for 5 out of the 7 days per week.
• Ideally but not essentially Male. - Salary ~ £18k, Live out only - 20 Days paid holiday
• Can be just qualified or an “almost there” as we are able to train on
• Full uniform provided - Meals whilst on duty provided.
• Start date – No later than wk 1 June.
• Reports to Head Bultler who reports to Deputy General manager
