Located on an Island on the North Western Coast of West Malaysia, our client is looking for exceptional Director of Food and Beverage for a luxury Resort operation. This luxury boutique property consist of over 110 rooms, villas and suites complimented with 5 F&B outlets, luxury spa and an 18 hole championship golf course. Nestled amidst lush rainforest, the property runs adjacent to a private beach looking out to stunning views of the Andaman Sea
The role requires a candidate with a “hands on” management style and a background in 5* properties or highly exclusive luxury boutique operations. The property serves a large local expatriate community and a good portion of the business will consist of regular repeat custom as well as international guests with the highest expectations in service and standards.
The successful applicant will m anage all aspects of human resource deployment and utilization within budget to ensure the efficient operation of all Food & Beverage outlets while maintaining and exceeding this operation's standards. Manage and supervise the performance and the productivity of all the Food & Beverage department and staff so as to ensure that they operate in accordance with departmental standard operating policies and procedures, resort standards, management manuals and exceeding guest expectations. They will also be required to ensure the physical environment of all Food & Beverage outlets is maintained to or exceeds this resort's standards as regards maintenance, cleanliness, set-ups, decorations etc. by conducting regular inspections.
The right candidate will be expected to monitor the various Food & Beverage outlets during service to ensure policies and procedures are followed and standards met or exceeded by service staff and supervisors, as well as to obtain feedback from guests and owners regarding their appraisal of the quality of service and food offered. With extensive experience in luxury operations, they will be able to maintain and exceed the standards as set by company policy through structured training for the F&B teams and maintain accurate records of this.
Further more the role will require the successful candidate to assume financial responsibility for the department paying attention to generating revenue, staffing, stock and inventory costs. In addition they will actively participate and be responsible for the annual departmental budget in conjunction with the GM and the Financial Controller, as well as submitting monthly reports demonstrating adherence to the latter.
