EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF

We are seeking a hands on SOUS Chef, for this award winning luxury boutique resort in the Caribbean. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in an outstanding luxury boutique resort and will suit someone who wants to make a name for themselves. You must have Fine dining background with some pastry experience – Caribbean experience an advantage. You must have a proven track record and be a great trainer, ideally with resorts experience and able to manage a diverse front line team.

The role will be to assist and help in the running of a busy kitchen serving both a 40 cover fine dining restaurant as well as a less formal 170 cover main restaurant. The cooking style is eclectic with the finest ingredient and produce from around the world combined to produce food to the highest standards with the most exciting of flavours. There are no functions as such and breakfast is done buffet style.

The successful applicant must be financially astute with excellent cost control and business acumen, be an effective communicator with exceptional organisational skills. They will have demonstrated a high level of Health and Safety knowledge with an ability to conduct formal and hands on training to the highly diverse and dedicated kitchen brigade. In the absence of the Head Chef, you will be required to assume the responsibility for the department
