One of the worlds premier boutique resort groups is presently looking for a number of outstanding Sous Chefs, & Executive Sous Chefs.
This Resort and International Spa is of a 5 star rating and is decorated to compliment the Islands environment. The resort consists of just under 100 rooms, suites & villas and also offers beach front villas and garden pavilions and with a combination of public and private pools.
Guests will have access to an extensive water sports and facilities such as boat and yacht charter, tennis courts, a fitness centre and a modern spa centre. Interested candidates must ideally have had Caribbean , or, Island location and Restaurant Chef experience, also they must have a proven track record and may also have been previously involved in refurbishments or new openings. We are looking at a very tactile manager who like to lead from the front and who inspire, motivate and develop their team.
The candidate must be charismatic, and able to support an excellent Executive Chef, leading a team of chefs and overseeing the kitchen of one of the three restaurants, (1 gourmet dining, 1 casual dining, and 1 beach dining),room service, beach service, afternoon tea, this hotel has only the highest standards and traditions,
Ideally the candidate will have an innovative creative style, offering an eclectic mix of cuisine including adapting local specialities, but with a modern European twist combined with haute cuisine and health orientated food, and maybe a little Asia experience
The type of guest who stays in this hotel, will occasionally require simple food, but superbly cooked with a creative edge
This is a single position due the nature of the location and this person must be able to develop the team, thus excellent man management skills will be necessary as well as assisting or taking charge of the following:
Sourcing, ordering and quality control in two outlets;
Weekly work rosters;
Must have excellent management skills to help develop his/her team; and oversee two restaurants (one gourmet dining, one contemporary dining), room service, beach service and afternoon tea;
Work closely with the Executive Chef for development of innovative cost effective products;
Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef;
