TRAVELLING BUTLER , BASED IN LONDON . SALARY NEG

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in managing more than one household, our client is a young 70 business man, who is now divorced twice, but has his grand children come stay over as well as two pet Labradors

Based in Central, our client has 3 other properties, (two in France and one in Canada ). He therefore he seeks a highly professional Butler , to offer excellent service, control costs and management each property.

The person sought must have very good experience, be intelligent, smart and enjoy travelling and be a NON SMOKER and DOG LOVER. The Butler must be hands on, who can lead from the front and demonstrate that no job is too large or too small.

This could be an expanding role since our client is looking for at least three to five years service or longer. He seeks someone loyal who will stay with him for some time. Ideally you will have experience of achieving only the highest standards, who is capable of leading a small team of housekeepers and chefs and cleaners, in each country.

Therefore good people skills are essential. Excellent communicational skills, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality are expected at all time. Ideally French or conversational French would be beneficial.

You must also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to demonstrate great efficiency. The candidate must demonstrate an aptitude to take on responsibility in the future.

The person we seek must have a good character, excellent interpersonal & social skills, and not be over familiar in any way. The client has indicated that this will suit a single candidate due to the amount of travelling, however, this would alter if your relationship could accept time away of up to 9 weeks at a time.

Our client is not looking for a perfectionist, but someone to help manage their home and learn and develop as they go along. They should be comfortable driving expensive cars since driving is expected and therefore a driving licence is required. This position is based in London , so knowledge of London roads would also be an advantage.

Some cooking maybe required from time to time, although the housekeeper can cook up to 8, caterers and wait staff are required from time to time.

Ideally the person they seek should be eager to please, flexible in nature, enthusiastic, discreet, broad minded, and conscientious.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a great new position and will allow them to develop their skills and their craft and will greatly improve their current CV and future prospects.

Live in or out, although it is expected that you live in when you're the housekeeper is away or off.

Entertaining 3 lunches a week and maybe 3 dinners. 1.5 to 2 days off a week, although time off can be taken if the man of the house goes away.
