GROUP OPERATIONS MANAGER

LEADING RESORT GROUP

We are looking for a Group Operations Manager to join an Executive Committee to join the corporate top team that manages this luxury Resort with 9 exceptional boutique properties. Although the position cannot have the title of “Director Group Operations”, because of its Corporate rules. The position will be b ased Asia with travel to Europe for recruitments etc this could be a married or single role however, our client does not pay for school fees.

The salary would range would be in excess of USD 100,000, pa plus housing, car, annual vacations and paid air travel, and relocation expenses. We stand to be advised as to whether this package is pitched right for the level.

The Position is to supervises, lead and coordinates all operations with the GMs/Hotel Managers and fully understand and endorse the Resorts business model and translates it into operational objectives requirements and standards. Each operation is to be regularly audited and recommendations made to the MD to assure and continuously improve standards, guest satisfaction and operating profits.

This role is responsible for group and corporate policies overseeing Marketing, Finance and Human Resources). The group policies are to be fully deployed and respected throughout the resorts.

In collaboration with the Marketing Director Chief Financial Officer, and Group Financial Controller, you will prepares budgets and cash flow forecasts for each financial year and for each operation. Taking an interest in Marketing and Sales and ensuring economies of scale by standardizing processes and procedures as much as possible while preserving the Marketing positioning and uniqueness of each of our resort products.

In close collaboration with the Managing Director and Group Human Resources Manager, selects and hires resort GMs/Hotel Managers, manages and improves their performance, takes appropriate disciplinary action and terminates employment as and when necessary.

In collaboration with the Group Human Resources Manager and the Resorts Training Academy , ensures that all Quality Assurance, training and any other continuous improvement and HR development programs are successfully implemented and maintained.

In addition, your role will ensure a successful definition, planning and opening of all new hotels, resorts and other projects, whilst participating actively in the setting up of Group strategy ensuring local, regional and international development through the acquisition, construction, redevelopment of directly owned properties or joint venture partnerships or Management Contracts.

PROFILE, Age: 40 to 50 years, you must be a Hotelier of the finest reputation. You must have the leadership charisma and professional credibility required to earn the respect of other seasoned hoteliers with a 5 star background, you must intimately understands luxury but be able to adapt right down to a 3 star concepts.

With extensive expatriation resort experience at GM level you must have varied experience of several country and company cultures with a background in successfully managing several operations in several countries as Director Group of Operations (or equivalent job title).

Your background must highlight a proven track record in terms of concept development, innovation and continuous improvement and have a recognized track record in terms of international awards, accolades, press reports, prestigious affiliations for example leading hotel of the world or otherwise. Readily accepts authority and the discipline of a corporate environment.
