BUTLERS - BOUTIQUE RESORTS, AMERICA - $35 to 42 K US dollars

Plus allowance for accommodation

We have a luxury boutique hotel brand in the United States seeking to recruit exceptional candidates who could adopt their Butler Service and ideally are seeking British or European Candidates, although they will look at exceptional International butlers

We are looking for senior and junior butlers, with reasonable experience or at least the right training in the art or understanding of the role of the Modern Butler.

We have quite a few positions and would take more experienced and Butlers over 35yrs if we could but we are restricted by the US visa regulations and therefore this position may not be suitable for you, however, it potentially may attract someone you know or who you have worked with.

The following is the brief we have advertised and we understand that candidates must look great, be well educated, have fantastic hospitality experience and be interested in developing the craft of the butler .

Management trainees would probably be ideal for this post

- Candidates should -
- Have a professional demeanor
- Have an eye for detail
- Have private service or hotel butlering experience
- Be confident
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Be resourceful.
- Butler certification, food and beverage knowledge & housekeeping Experience knowledge are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

The butler is the main contact for all guest requests, so they should be knowledgeable about all hotel services and be able to assist and/or know how to find an answer to a guest concern or query.

General butlers duties will include welcoming guests to the hotel, showing them to their rooms, packing/unpacking if required, handle all guest requests, handle all deliveries to guest rooms including laundry, room service and packages.

Contract 18 months Maximum

NOTE

The age is an issue as this is a US visa requirement. We can maybe push the age to about 37 but I don't think we could get any through beyond that age.

Our hotel Group does not promote tipping, service charge is paid to some positions but at this stage this does not include the butlers.

Everyone works 40 hours per week usually over a 5 day week. Additional hours may be asked to be worked on occasions, however this is paid at time and a half the normal hourly rate.

Accommodation is provided including utilities in modern townhouses on a share basis for $75 per week. They have the option of paying an additional $75 to have their own room. The complex is modern and has a pool and gym.

The property occupies a singular place in the pantheon of America 's great resorts. Its legendary ambience has been cherished by generations of families who return again and again to savour the resort's inimitable lifestyle - a rich and classic sporting life, idyllic small town pleasures, and warm southern hospitality.

Guided by generations of the same family, this is a world of uncomplicated luxury, four superb resorts designed in exquisite harmony with the serene natural environment .

Undergoing a $350 million initiative to create exceptional accommodations and top tier dining in a style reminiscent of the hotel's original Mediterranean grandeur.

My Client will be bringing Butlers to the US on a J-1 18 month visa, which is a training visa ( but this is just a cover).  The age limitations for this visa are that the candidates must be between 18-35 yrs.

Taxes are fairly low in the US for those on visas and we will pay all visa costs, return airfare and subsidise accommodation.

Our butlers definitely earn a good living, plus we pay all medical insurance and subsidize housing, so they are even better off than a local butler.
