PASTRY CHEF

JAMAICA - SALARY $ $40,000 depending on experience

One of the Caribbean 's leading resorts seeks an outstanding Pastry chef for an immediatel start

The candidate must be charismatic and able to train a team of chefs, oveseeing two restaurants, ( 1 gourmet dining, 1 contemporary dining restaurant), room service to over 100 rooms, beach service, afternoon tea, this hotel has very high standards and traditions)

Ideally the candidate will have an inovative creative style, offering an ecclectic mix of local cuisine, but with a modern european flair, haute cuisine, healthy fresh food, experience breads, pastries, and a wide variety of quality wholesome deserts, sometime displayed on buffets

You must be a good communicatpr, of good appearance, sophisticated manner and intelligent approach

This is a single position due the nature of the location and this person must be able to develop a small team, thus excellent man management skills will be necessary

With a proven track record, ideally this pastry chef might be someone who has worked in the Caribbean and who is ready to make a reputation with International media and able to take constructive criticism.
