CHEF DE CUISINE

CARIBBEAN - UPTO $50K, PLUS PERKS

 

One of the Caribbean 's leading 5* Boutique resorts seeks an outstanding Chef de Cuisine for their award winning restaurant from March this year.

This is for a stand alone restaurant, one minute from the main hotel resort open Breakfast Lunch and Dinner requiring one of the best candidate possible to work as head chef for this stand alone restaurant open all day, and offering a wide range of cuisines, to sophisticated palates, sophisticated customers and guests aware of the latest modern food trends, with influences of Mediterranean, French, Italian and Asian influences for high end customers.

The head chef will already have an international reputation having worked in stand alone quality restaurants Internationally, and will bring a wealth of experience creative ideas to take our restaurant and our present reputation to another level, not yet experienced on these islands.

The candidate must be charismatic, and able to work with the established hotel Executive Chef who will act as mentor and advisor. This position though, is a stand alone position, where you will be able to develop & implement your own standards without too much outside influences.

You will lead a team of about 10 chefs, overseeing this award winning, fine dining restaurant.

Ideally, the candidate will have an innovative creative style, offering an eclectic mix of cuisine including adapting local specialities, but with a modern European or New world flair, haute cuisine, healthy fresh food, and maybe a little Asia experience. The type of Customer who dines in this Restaurant ,will occasionally require simple food, but superbly cooked with a creative edge, Asian influences will also be very important, as well as pacific rim.

This is ideally a single position due the nature of the location and this person must be able to develop a small team, with an expatriate support Chef, thus excellent man management skills will be necessary. Although our client will consider applications from married candidates, that have no children.

With a proven track record, ideally this chef must be someone who may have worked in the Caribbean already, although we will look at outstanding candidates that have also worked in similar resorts and who is ready to make a reputation with International media and able to take constructive criticism and comments since feedback plays a large part in this role.
