PROFESSIONAL CVS
The positions we have at present have a vast number of applications and in order stand above those you will be compared against, a more detailed professional CV is required but should be NO MORE THAN 3 PAGES.
Clients look for extraordinary talent from within the industry. Your details must be unique, brief and inspire someone to want to interview you.
Far greater insight is needed, with elaboration on each position, including 3-4 big achievements per job, (not a shopping list), a very brief overview of each property and an idea of scale, in terms of numbers, rooms, covers, outlets, number of staff you managed, etc, etc, etc,.
Your CV should be a sales tool - sell yourself. Recommended Format below

Sum up where you have worked, hotels, countries, and what makes you unique, special and why you should you get this job ? Don't prolong this too much. A short statement at the beginning of the CV is a positive way of selling yourself.
Professional Experience
Please make sure that you include the following information for each position:
Dated Chronologically , from your most recent job, dated by month & year;-
The name, city and country of the property
Job title;
Identify employer, status, number of rooms, covers, awards, unique aspects.
Summary of any skills or achievements per property.
Your main duties involved in the role, with an indication of how many people reported directly to you, but keep it brief.
Don't leave gaps ; employers will want to know what you were doing during these periods.
Group Experience
If you have had many different jobs within a hotel group, emphasise the skills and experience you have gained by grouping them together, But break down the dates & country for each property so they are easily understood.
Education ( this should be at the end of your CV, it is less important than your experience). Outline College, city, university and secondary education, qualifications gained and years attended.
Professional Trade Qualifications
Skilled trade qualifications, Degree, diplomas, HCIMA, City and Guilds, HND etc.
Interests
Keep it short, you can include any sporting activities, hobbies and membership of clubs and societies.
Additional Information
This is optional, but useful, add additional skills which would make your application acceptable.
References
Personal references are welcome, written references, to be on headed paper.
You may or may not want to include the details of your references at stage one, and that would be fine.
Photograph
International recruitment is different, clients want to see who they want to interview. Dressed smartly in work attire and that you smile !
